Having a group is a prerequisite for having a project.

What is a SMART Labs Group?

Groups represent an organization or a single research group. Groups own projects, and are financially responsible for all charges incurred to them.

Billing

Payment may be handled with internal indents (Speed Codes), credit cards or cheques. Invoices are generated quarterly on the first day of January, April, July and October. Additional information can be found in the General User Policy Manual located here.

Roles Within a Group

Group Owner

The GO (group owner) should have the appropriate signing authority for the organization. Typically the group owner will be the PI (Principal Investigator)

Group Manager

Managers have the same privileges as the owner. They can create new projects, add and remove project users.
